Are they still going to have “traditional” services?
I know a number of churches around Boise are offering traditional services, the ones that have been done for years, as well as a new “contemporary” service. The music is rock, the preacher says the same couple of things a few times and it’s mostly a jam session for the musicians. They must be successful because they keep doing it.
Hi John,
Yeah. I’m sure they’ll keep traditional but I have to say this Rap thing just seems weird to me. On the one hand I confess I have never understood why all the language HAD to be ancient type in order to pass for God and religion. So much of it is plain hard to read or listen to. But then I am speaking as one with many doubts if not dis-belief so I’m out of the loop. On the other hand, I also believe religion has a place and the dogma is NOT all bad and does provide a foundation for civilization. I just wish all those bible stories were made plainer in American English. Or the Queen’s. But Rap? Gee ... those folks aren’t gonna be swayed I don’t think. Unless they see it as a free concert of some kind.
