  1. I’m sure showing any support in comments for the Empire would garner complaints from the invading throng.

  2. Yeah, I think you’re right. That’s what the wife says too. Outnumbered by the left she says with some disgust.

  3. This has happened in other news organizations (twitter comes to mind), where conservative or libertarian opinions have been voted down by an organized liberal “ThinkSpeak squads”. 1984 is here.

  4. Once upon a time LGF was my favorite blog ... then the comment police arrived. Never again.

You must have planted one mauking comment. The page says “comments have not been moderated” but even trying to get a look at the Worst Rated ones gives back an internal server error.

  5. Drew:  I remember when LGF was a favorite haunt too and I loved reading Zombie’s posts.  I’m not sure what precipitated Charles’ tilt to the left, and the descent that followed, but… I respected his choice to be who he was, I just didn’t comment there anymore.

I went back recently just on a lark, tried to log into my account and found out it was banned… Okay then.  If you can get banned for not posting… O_o

  6. Hey a bunch of LGF use-to-be fans - yes I too went until it got crazy over there. Did not hang at free republic very long. It is why I don’t like liberal sites - you disagree just a bit about something - and they all go off on you. I can’t take it.

  7. Wardmom,
Surprisingly, the Mail is a conservative (mostly) newspaper. They have a some very consrv. writers there including Peter Hutchens, who is pretty far right. And Melonie Phillips who is very, very conservative also.
But apparently there were enough of those sort of Brits ashamed of the past and still saying how sorry they are yadda, yadda, to make a difference in the complaint numbers.
