  1. Yippee-Ki-Yay!!!!!!!!! (I’ll leave out the next word, for those Bruce Willis fans)

Memo to Fatboy and Hanoi John:  finger finger finger finger finger finger finger finger finger finger finger Who’s yer daddy!!!!!!!!!!

  2. On a more serious note, I hope that Justice Alito is the Guest of Honor at the State of the Union tonight… flag  pinkelefant  pumpiniron

  3. Bravo Alito!

  4. ALL TOGETHER NOW, YOU DEMOCRATS!! (Try sounding like Roy Orbison)

tune All the rainbows in the sky
Start to weep, then say goodbye
You won’t be seeing rainbows any more
Setting suns before they fall, Echo to you that’s all that’s all
But you’ll see lonely sunset after all tune

    tune It’s over
    It’s over
    It’s over
    It’s over
    tune

  5. Hope we haven’t missplaced our hopes for a conservsative Supreme Court.  Remeber Souter was supposed to be a “slam dunk” conservative justice.

    Trust, but verify.

  6. I like to think that this will mitigate the socialist actions of the SCOTUS, in particular the perversion of eminent domain that the Kelo decision represented. I think we need one more justice, though.

  7. In the case of Roe v Wade, the court donned a turban & held the Constitution to their forehead like “The Great Carsoni” and read something that wasn’t there.  With Kelo, they ignored what is clearly written.

What’s next? Is there some permutation or combination I’ve overlooked?

  8. Kelo has the makings of an armed revolution.

  9. Just to clarify: Alito being on the court wouldn’t have changed Kelo as he’s replacing O’Connor and O’Connor dissented. Indeed she wrote the dissenting opinion. It would still have been a 5/4 decision for private property grabbing socialism “for the common good”. Therefore we would still need one more vote.

Put this in context with the blathering from those opposed to Alito in the recent circus hearings and you will get an idea of where they’re coming from.

If you think this was an ugly scene picture what will happen if Dubya gets another chance to appoint another justice. It’ll make this and the Bork and Thomas hearings look like a church ice cream social.

  10. In response to your updates, Skip:  Let all these pant-wetting babies go to to the Caymans, go to Canada, go to hell, go anywhere, just as long as they get the hell out of better people’s way.  What are these bipedal lice worth anyway, other than a swift boot out the back door?  Bring it on!

    cool grin

  11. Amen, Tannenberg.  However, like Alec Baldwin’s empty threat (remember that some years ago?), they won’t do it.  It’s all talk.  Dangit!

  12. Any left-winger that wants to leave the US gets this good-bye message from me:

Don’t let the door hit your ass on the way out.

    party

  13. The trouble with left wingers leaving the country is that they always come back.

    Here’s an example:

(AP) CAPITOL HILL Peace activist Cindy Sheehan has been arrested on Capitol Hill. Sheehan was taken into custody by police in the House gallery just before President Bush’s State of the Union address.

An official said police escorted Sheehan from the visitors’ gallery above the House chamber after she caused a disruption.

When last seen she was hanging all over Hugo Chavez. Must not have been a keeper because she’s baaaaack. rolleyes

  14. Guess my Master’s in History isn’t good enough.  Gots to have a Ph.D, huh!?!

    Remember the joke about that?

First you get a BS (we all know what that means).  Then you get an MS (means “More of the Same").  Finally, you receive a Ph.D (means “Piled Higher and Deeper").

Those clowns couldn’t do my job!!

  15. And in many cases, Mike, they can’t do their own (assuming they have any).

A degree is NOT a performance warranty, and it never was.  It is only rarely now an accurate certificate of compliance, let alone an inspection sticker.

    wink

  16. I always thought that PHD stood for “Pin Headed Dork”

Note to Dhimmi Dhummies, Liberal Moonbats, and the rest of the Leftista Whinging Wankers:

The answer does not exist because you do not have the proper level of
understanding to input the question and you are too much a Moron or Idiot
to comprehend the answer. The answer is not for you.

Mix that with your Kool-Aid and guzzle it… (or stuff it into your bongs of freeze-dried moonbat guano and smoke them) crazy

  17. Well, in this latter case, PHD, perhaps it means Pot Head Dissenter

    weed  joint  peace  island  clap

  18. I was one of two-I was by myself most of the time-counter-protesters at the ‘World Can’t Wait’ “rally” at Chicago’s Daley Plaza.
    My sign:*channeling Fred Rogers*
    “Hey Kids,
    Can you say:
    JUSTICE ALITO?
    (Sure you can)”
Most of my new “friends” just shook their heads at me.
    HEHEHEHEHEH
