  1. Jesus Drew I swear sometimes you scare the livin crap outta me.

You allowed things to go on that long, AND .... damn if you weren’t on the evil weed too.

Hey really Drew ....  I do not have many close friends left anymore.  And except for one, the other 2 didn’t pass along due to old age and the illness it brings.

I really and truly honestly hope you’ll pay a bit more attention to signs of ill health and not screw around but see a doctor if all you do is sneeze.  Hey, you wouldn’t know what that sneeze signifies, unless you have a license to practice medicine. Jeeze ...

  2. Well, I’ve lived with illness all my life it seems. When you’re always a little bit sick, or always suffering from allergies, you learn to live with it. Sooner or later you just get on with life and don’t bother running to the doctor for every twitch and bother. But you are entirely correct; there is a reasonable limit after which it’s time to wise up and seek help, and I let it get past that this time around.

  3. I am glad (after reading this) that I grew up surrounded by doctors (lots in the family, too) and so I know - what to look for and what to pass on. I also do lots and lots of research on alternative options (no, not the hippie dippy crapola).

But COPD is the real danger here - you have to keep on top of it - or it will kill you. My Mom was a non-compliant patient on a lot of things (she thought she was a doctor after living with so many for so many years). So she didn’t keep up with her treatments - and at the end was struggling to even breathe.

I don’t/won’t take the cholesterol junk - still most non-American research gives cholesterol a 50/50 on ‘cause’ of death - it’s got to go way over that before I consider taking drugs - a few of which have already been pulled from the market.

Well - here’s to a somewhat speedy recovery.

Take care - and oh, LOCAL raw honey - helps in the allergy issue - as it is the local pollens which helps to build up immunity. Honey is great - it’s just getting so darned expensive.
