I got a recipe that tastes just like KFC from a friend (i.e nicely flavored) but I can not tell you the last time I fried chicken. I’m really hating this new brand of doc and have a feeling that they are just going to get worse.
We beat you 104^ yesterday and joy, oh joy supposed to be hotter today - daughter and I were sweating in an a/c car (so glad that we didn’t take our usual errand car - as the a/c in it is non-existent).
Off to visit grown, out-of-state children today - the upside is the 8 grandchildren to include the two newest babies. Worth the money and the aggravation - maybe we could discuss a send-the-kids-to Oma & Opa’s house thingy - so I don’t have to deal with my disapproving adult children!
Great idea there Wardmama! Just remember to fill the kids up with sugar and get them totally wound up before returning them. Ah, payback ...
Dude, you have to use the peanuts in the dry roll after the batter. grind them almost to a powder and mix in with the regular dry roll your using,the essense of the nuts adds a really nice subtle taste I cant think of a synonym for,But you’ll like it.Middle eastern cooks use peanuts for lots of seasonings like this.
