A while into this - and thanks to Michelle Malkin - the truth comes out. It was not the political donation that caught the Oberwhinner - it was the fact that in Oct - he donated to Grivjalva on the very day he interviewed him on the show & that is in the MSNBC rules as a NO NO.
Shockingly NBC actually has some ethics - the line is a bit down the road than most would want - but at least they do have some standards.
Take the money - out of DC and out of politics - then maybe Mr Smith can go to Washington, instead of these predatory, lying, money and power grabbing lifers.
If he knew ahead of time that a stipulation of employment was not to donate or at least do it quietly, then he broke the rules of his employment. Seeing and hearing his barbs and arrows against anything conservative, nobody would be inclined to think he votes Republican. So it’s natural to donate to ppl he votes for anyway. I mean, he was always so loud in his damnation of everything right wing and so sarcastic in his war with competition at Fox, nobody would have been at all surprised that he would make donations.
When I was home this year, and seeing American TV for the first time in 6 years, from time to time I’d turn on this loudmouth and to be honest, I just couldn’t stay with him. I could put up with questions and honest criticism but his insults and mean mouth always turned me off.
Its a slow news day when our man ‘Pearce’ has to soil this bright and shiny webpage with the feces of keith olberdorkmanberg.
Since when does msnbc, or any other progressive news outlet, give a shit about ethics?
The whole thing smells of feted feces and democrats.
Rich K I like that description. This was the first blog I ever frequented back in the days when the Skipper was still with us. I always saw it as the bright and shining web site on a hill that all the others looked to. Corny I know, but I’m an old Reagan fan. The guys have carried on for him in the finest fashion. Where ever the Skipper is he isn’t worried about the fate of his site. Thank you gentlemen. I’m sure we don’t say it enough, but thank you for the outstanding work you do. Sorry for the rant, it just had to come out.
