1. Drew, it’s always been safe to come out. If you insist on watching TV, maybe not? I’ve not watched TV for over two decades now. Drives Mom up the wall. “What do you do with your free time?” she rants. “Reading Montaigne’s Essays at the moment” I tell her.

   “How do you find time for that?”

   “Simple Mom, I don’t waste time watching Wheel of Fortune. For fun, there’s any number of guys and girls on chess.com who will play a game/15.”

3. No. Actually we’ve won 5 of 7 the past 2 weeks.

   I’m just so sick of the daily protests and all the idiots on TV. It gets lonely sometimes when you never hear another voice like your own. Oh, I can READ similar voices all over the VRWC blogosphere. But I can’t HEAR one on TV. And I’m rather tired of the excessive politeness shown to these mindless apes. Not sorry, you’re wrong, shut up, goodbye.

4. Damn good points raised Drew.  And make no mistake, while it isn’t quite 24/7 here the way we know it is back home, it is here as well. The usual American racist anti-black this and that and always by those who have no experience of living in or among us in our own country.
   Of course, it’s hard for the press not to cover idiots laying down playing dead in the road.
   I did get one moment of joy however seeing the pix of an idiot protester among many, trying to block a roadway.  Car went right over her. Didn’t kill the bitch just bruised but the car then went on straight through the mob which parted, seeing as how this one driver wasn’t gonna be cowed by that herd.

   Probably over exposed more like.

   The CIA torture thing. All over the papers and radio etc. The shame of America so on and so forth and even Brits guilty of something or other.

   Yawn. OK it may not have been nice but at least the security services don’t go around blowing up bus loads of kids on a school bus. And we aren’t arming 10 yr olds with instructions to kill infidels. Well, not yet anyway.
