From Xavier’s site:
God, Guns and Guts, make America Strong!
Did she ever use it?
Great read. The strength of spirit in that pistol could lead one to down right pagan or Tolkienish thoughts of things that have power.
When my aunt Ernice died, my brother, her executor and a pacifist (bless his liberal heart) found a revolver in her bedside table. He’s never been comfy around firearms and called me to come and get it. It was an old S&W .38 special. It had a holster and a handful of rounds wrapped in an old rag. I doubt she ever used it though it showed a fair bit of wear. She carried it with her on her frequent fishing trips down to the Keys. I put it away as a memento.
She was a tough old broad who lived life on her terms.
#3 Rickvid, so does that mean that a poorly drawn set of cartoons has unimaginable amounts of power? Could we hook wires up to a koran and draw on the invisible power of islam? How many korans per mile would I get when powering my car? Inquiring minds want to know.
/sarcasm off
Reminds me of my grandparents.
They had a farm in Texas, where they taught us the proper way to handle firearms.
God help us if we pointed it in the wrong direction!
My backside was blistered one time - that is all it took!
I can still outshoot most men I know!
‘course I have to hide my pistol from my 14 year old!
His turn is coming (to shoot - not BE shot!)
RP what about beer?
Just bought a S&W 1911 for around $625 for work use mostly and for the home. Sounds like I am in good company, which I always knew anyway but enjoy these kinds of stories. If not for the armed American things here would be far worse and no one I know wants to live like they do overseas.
