Malarky, Skipper - it is the liberals and lefties who have sold us a bill of goods to make us all hate America, the American way and have a Government run society. The enemy has already been defeated, he has no power over us; his only power over us is if we believe his lies (about the devil, but works for moonbats too). I have seen communism fail, murder, and destroy many a great place - won’t happen here.
Thank Goodness for the InterNet and the Bloggers who are going to invigorate the ‘Silent Majority’ (as my parents called ‘em)- you know all the Americans who hold down jobs, mow their lawns & bbq, obey the laws, pay their taxes and most importantly VOTE to rise up and say (once again) AMERICA LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT!
I was reading on DU or was it the Kos - anyway they are ginning up the masses to VOTE - we go through this over and over and over again. And we hear how they registered 2 million or 20 million or 200 million - and yet they don’t win the elections (which surprises me with all their dead, felons and illegals voting too). . .
If the lunatic fringe could devise an alternative to Mid East oil - or let us drill for our own - if they would let the school systems teach reading, writing & ‘rithmatic - not all the touchy feely new age crapola, if everyone would stop selling out America to illegals - and whinning about the ‘inhumanity and racism’ of those who finally try to put a stop to it, and if they would let our Military put a major hurt on Afghanistan and Iraq (and send a note to Iran - NEXT) maybe the world would once again settle down into the relative peace of co-existance. Perhaps the best solution for Africa would be not to put people in charge of the UN who have a vested interest in keeping it in chaos. . .

Ah peiper, we are actually in one of those renaissance periods I do believe. I think that most people do have common sense, a concern for the world and their country and that a lot of people are tired of the lies, shams and garbage foisted on them by the lunatic fringe. We can’t keep going on oblivious - that will bring about Al Gore’s end of the world. And as each lie is pointed out, as each scheme and scam is brought out into the open - I think that more and more people will get tired of ‘just letting it slide.’
The Dems have lost their way, while the ‘rabid’ republicans are actually moving a little to the middle - the dems are all over the place and moving (in secret) more and more to the left. Besides losing their way, they are too busy fighting amongst themselves as to how to proceed or agree, stabbbing each other in the back and relying on ‘dirty’ tricks to keep them in power. Their undoing is going to be the sniveling ‘pajama’ media who are going to put out the other side of the story. The truth is the undoing of all that is wrong, evil, dangerous and criminal. And that is why our current crop of loonies are hiding behind the ‘culture of corruption’ and ‘speaking truth to power’ talking points. . . Remember when you point your finger - 4 are pointing back at YOU!
Ah in our younger days, all things seem better than they are now. That is because we haven’t toiled in the real world long enough to realize how truly repetious, boring and exhausting life is. But I see the world about to explode into opportunities and possibilities for everyone - the ease of world communication will not bring down the ‘borders’ as so many of the moonbats are envisioning - instead it will open the eyes of the oppressed and impoverished of the world. And I believe it will spark another rapid growth of human potential and greatness.

Thank God I can remember the days when we could and did stand on our own feet as a nation.
But that was before we began giving away our shoes, and then a lot else, on the pretext that everyone who wanted them was automatically entitled to them.
You still have the best country in the World. It may not be perfect but it’s better than everyone else! Happy Independence day!
The lunatic fringe won in the late 60s and 70s and just padded way too many Courts with judges just as lunatic as themselves. We are reaping the benefit of all that garbage. But it can be undone and a return to sane government and America.
We, as Americans need to stand up, hold the lunatic fringe accountable for their ‘drive-by’ reporting/smears.
I think a lot of politicians do enter the field with good intentions - I just think that our system has become corrupted/corruptable and they are ‘loathe’ to change it. That is why I support term limits and pay limits. They all muzzled/corralled the Presidency and then convientently avoid applying the same measures to themselves.
WE THE PEOPLE need to get back into the system and help fix it. I do believe that the blogs and Internet and talk radio are the keys - as the facts, truths and lunatic fringe are shown for the diabolical lying hypocrites that they are - less and less will be elected.
I hold to no stereotypes whatsoever, including that all politicos are corrupt/corruptable or that America is going the way of the socialist/communist world. America started as a Beacon to Freedom and Hope - I do believe that she will stay that way, despite all the screedings and machinations of the lunatic fringe.
Thanks for your kind words about me going into politics - I am way tooooooooo conservative for the greater American public and besides the skeletons in my closet - talk and would love to spill my secrets for filthy lucre [and I can’t have that at all]!

To be able to stay sane and not want to kill my family and myself - I have to believe that the sane, common sense, thinking, rational people of the world will keep speaking up, trying to/asserting control and hopefully move the world back to the middle.
Believe me - much as I love my narrow-minded ultra-conservative view of life, I am not so conceited as to want everyone to adhere to it [mainly because I thrive on someone saying but...have you considered this _____ every once in a while]. And as such, I do know that a far right run of the world would be just as bad (although not for the same reasons) as this lunatic liberal run. . .
What is wrong with the middle for most of the world - the lunatic left could inhabit Cuba, Venezuela and other like paradises - the lunatic right could inhabit the Middle east which seems to value repression. The rest of the world could just be happy and peaceful.
