Wow - If I was him - I’d close the bakery. And then I’d leave that town/state. This is not America at all. Sad days.
Fuck that, I say let them pretend to enforce this chimera of a ruling. What they gonna do, fine him?, on what authority. Jail him?, on what authority.Get this absurdity into a real court and fight it out. This just proves the ACLU is for the most part a bunch of marxist tools who selectivly support the rights they like.
Agree with Rich; take it to a real court. BUT, on the 13th: “except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted,” BECAUSE “ the state’s Civil Rights Commission determined the Christian baker violated the law “ EXCEPT THAT said Commission is NOT a court of law. IS IT? It was “determined”; is that legally the same thing as “convicted”?
So yeah, you CAN be forced into slavery or involuntary servitude as punishment for crimes. This is how debtor’s prisons were once justified I think.
True, refusing to bake a cake is not a crime,
BUT
running a bakery and turning away customers based on some aspect of their civility - age, gender, race, orientation PROBABLY is a crime, because the bakery is open to ALL the public.
Even after all my years in retail, I’m still not sure if those “we have the right to refuse service” signs are actually valid. If they are, it’s circumstantial (eg “no shoes no shirt no service) on a one-time basis.
Get out of the People Republic of Colorado and set up shop among human beings. PS The gays are only doing it to root you out, they don’t give two shits about the cake.
Fucking Faggots....
