There is a Family story about my Ex-Wifes younger brother.
They had all been born in Texas and had moved to Oregon.
Sometime later they had gone back to Texas for a visit with relatives.
They had all been teasing James about being an Oregonian.
Finally he had had enough and blurted out,
“I’m not a newspaper, I used to be a Texan, But now I’m an American.”
All of the Texans suddenly got quiet.
Thank you Drew, that was the laugh I needed today.
Just told my wife that story, and as soon as I got to “Inner Neighborhood Services”, she grinned widely. She got it!
Oh, and thanks for letting us all know Peiper’s feeling under the weather. Here’s hoping he’s feeling better soon.
I knew there was a reason to drop in today and this was it,Thanks for the laugh D man.
Tell peiper we wish him well.
Great story - However - it is the fact that many, many businesses in TX think nothing of hiring illegals in the first place that is a major part of the problem in America today. I can still remember in 1984 or 85 a commercial running where the ‘small business’ owner actually said his business would go under without ‘undocumented’ workers - the brass ones it takes to say that and run it on the air.
I guess I’m going to have to get one of those hats made - make a point. Just goes to show that the 1953 Operation Wetback (such an un-pc name) and the 2006 ICE raids - prove the same point - go after them and an even bigger portion - self-deport.
It is a shame that our Klownposse in DC not only won’t admit that, won’t support it - but is actively working to create a new slave/entitlement class. Leave it to the Dems to be the poster children for racist, bigoted, sexist, homophobic hypocrisy. On taxpayers dimes.
That was funny. Thank you for brightening my sleep cycle!
Now, I’ll say it again: We are at war. Illegal aliens may also be considered foreign invaders. What are we supposed to do with foreign invaders during war time, boys and girls? That’s right! With extreme prejudice!
Think about it.
