  1. Mayor Williams is a stupid son of a bitch - from the WaPo article, he is quoted as saying, “I am pleased that the Supreme Court upheld 50 years of precedent today”

50 years of precedent?  WTF?  this is totally UN-PRECEDENTED.

Since you are not allowed to own guns if you live in the district (unless you’re a crack dealer, there will be no armed resistance.  I am waiting for when they try it across the river in Virginia, however. There are a lot of really nice old neighborhoods throughout Arlington, where I live.  The past decade has seen a HUGE amount of development in that county, and land prices are through the roof (my house has like doubled in value - no lie - in the past three years).  The commie-controlled Arlington County Board would definitly like to snatch up all the houses in one of these nice, family-friendly enclaves so that homosexual-double-income-no-kids couples can come in and live in condo’s that are built on the property.

Somebody said something yesterday about passing state laws prohibiting land grabs like this.  Maybe that would be a good idea.

  2. Man, this will really piss off the gay community...was it not a Gay establishment that DC wanted to confiscate in order to build the newe stadium?

  3. NOT IN FLORIDA!!! We have laws to protect us from that. HA HA take that, we get it right once in while in Florida. LOL

  4. tzucka - Don’t forget Mt. Vernon - that’s really prime riverfront real estate.  The developer could convert Washington’s mansion into a club house for the golf course.

  5. um huh..i knew it..bet the commissioners are laffing at me now!

Yes, i hear all the talk of, “Well, the states need to restrict and pass laws that wont allow this to happen”...lmao...surely you jest!?!.....i have lost all faith hope and trust in any government of these once great states of the U.S.of A.

I’m told, “Wow, gee golly gee whiz, you are TOO emotional over this!” as if im to recieve a great gift by the implied “pat on the head” and “you worry too much” attitude.  Let me tell ya folks, i know what i had to go thru and the fight i had to put up, in the second smallest county in texas. That was at the county level..good lawd!

Too emotional?...hummm...ok...lemme tell ya how emotional!

I have a .38, a .45, several long guns, (all properly obtained and licenced) and plenty of ammo after a day of shopping today. (thanks and proper credit to the Ghost in the post here today).

Hmmm?...Could it be that i’m outta estrogen?....any questions? wink

  6. Death?,
Might i inquire as to the statute number of your state law?  No need in giving me the lowdown...just the number and name of it please.  Bet i could find something there that may or may not help.  Texas JUST proposed a limitatiion statute on the Supreme ruling...i dont live there anymore...but will be real interesting to disect that so called statute.  I have serious doubts.

  7. There are a number of local cities & towns here in St. Louis currently discussing the topic of eminant domain in order to build shopping centers, new mixed use residential/shopping/office facilities............I have mixed views on this - yes, if it is a blighted area.........no, if it is a properly maintained residential area...........Dammit - leave these nice neighborhoods alone & go seek other venues for your projects!!!!!!!!!

  8. Dottie, with all due respect....what you are saying is...for others..but not for me?

Personal property is personal property!  My acerage was not blight...but prime land, but none the less it belonged to Us/Me!!  Im sorry, when i see someone say....ok...so what if Ms. Joe Schmoe has owned and lived on this property for however long....sorry Ms. Joe Schmoe...you wont bring in the taxes like it will if we give it to Mr. Big...so therefore, you are not entitled to your OWN property anymore? *shakes muh head*

Ok...lets all get back and read the constitution.....lets see what the Supremes have taken from us.

I see blighted areas being begged for “takeover”.....i see unjust compensation being givin with no fight...no problem..i dont feel in the least for those that sell at lower value to maybe, maybe gain more in the long run. What i do see though, is those that are trying to fight arbitrary takeover “for the common good” with no money or means to fight.

I am sooooo sick and tired of this.

OK....so do something about it...get your state to pass ristrictions and laws....LMAO.....what a fuckin’ crock of bullshit.......

No, Dottie, you take from the schmoe, then ya take from me!  I deplore this, but in essence i see folks saying ok..for the next person.....but not from me.

  9. Remember Pastor Niemoller.

I will offer this recasting of his famous words.

“First they came for property in New London,
and I did not speak out because I did not live in New London.
Then they came for property in Washington,
and I did not speak out because I did not live in Washington.
Then they came for property in Arlington,
and I did not speak out because I did not live in Arlington.
And then they came for my property,
And it was too late to speak out.”

  11. Appreciate it, Imp, and thank you for your support and fellow feeling.  The more assets like you that we can muster here, the better.

  12. The three Kousins could not have come up with a better way to rid the cities of “undesirable elements” who might actually be poor and have a couple of cars that might not run so well.

    Pricks!  Impeach the bastards!

Are we approaching the bullet vs ballot?  I think that Kim du Toit was discussing this not so long ago.

Did I mention that they are a bunch of pricks?

  13. I don’t think I posted it here so here’s another part of the Constitution that I feel also applies.

    Article. X.

The right of the people to be secure in their homes, properties, reasonable lifestyles, privacy, and protective insulation, against unreasonable intrusion; to freedom from a private government’s telling them how to live their lives; to enjoy their properties; and to the assurance of a peaceful retreat from the demands of the outer world; shall not be violated.

    Am I missing something here?
