He makes many good points, although the cultural and population issues concern me more than the economic ones.  We simply don’t have the land to accommodate that sort of sheer numbers ... and even if 75% of immigrants and 95% of second-gen Americans assimilate into our culture - at least partially - we will still have nearly 100 million people whose loyalties are elsewhere living inside our borders.  If, however, the assimilation rate remains constant, we’ll basically be conquered by sheer numbers. 

   However, in California and Texas at least(I’ve talked about this with firsthand witnesses of the glut in those areas), the immigrants are largely building and maintaining the increased infrastructure they need. 

   What is needed instead is a push for them to be able to make a good living in their own country.  And the first step is busting those oppressive regimes that are holding those people back ...
