IMMIGRATION ANYONE?

  1. A couple of weeks back we refused entry to a “Dutch” man (born in Nigeria) and four children (not his) one of the children was Nigerian, the other three were “American” in as much as their Nigerian mother flew to the US every time she got near the “drop zone.” They would leave the UK every six months and get a new “visitor” stamp. This time they were caught. The mother is currently in the UK giving birth at a British hospital (on the NHS naturally) the only advantage we have in Britain is being born in Britain does not qualify you for a British passport.

I can understand giving emergency treatment, but then they should hound these people for payment the way they hound us. My friend lives in Missouri. He claims he can’t afford health insurance. His wife had to go into hospital for surgery and now he has a huge bill. Why are they not pursuing all the illegals like this? Why doesn’t the INS put them on a plane and ship them out?

  2. Lyndon, the whole problem is the governments wish to be seen as “Politically Correct”, humanitarian, and continuing the “give us your tired, your poor” credo from the era of mass migrations (legal).  Sadly, this brings about such things as the consideration of the building on and blacktopping of the English countryside to provide shelter for the massive immigration into your country.  Which brings one to ponder what happens when there’s no more room and the agricultural areas are minimal thus there will be massive food shortages for a outrageously overpopulated country?

As was brought out in the video, the government agencies don’t consider the fact that illegal aliens are by definition criminals to be enough of a crime.  Thus those who are here legally get stuck with higher costs for medicine as the hospitals and doctors have to try to recoup their expenses from somewhere.  Is this fair?  Frak NO!

As for your friend who can’t afford to pay for health insurance, I don’t doubt that’s the case.  In my case where I have multiple health issues there is no way I can afford to pay for health insurance.  The one huge saving grace is that I served in the military during the Vietnam War and met the provisos, so I’m covered under the VA for my medical needs.

What’s the story in Britain for those who can’t afford medical insurance?  Does the NHS automatically pick up those who are in dire financial straits and need medical assistance?
