  1. Please, GOD, let them “roll over” on TEH ONE™. PLEASE!

  2. Color me unsurprised. This has been almost three years in the coming, and our dear friend is almost certainly going to be going away for a long time.

However, the chances that this will affect Obama one way or the other is highly unlikely, even if he DOES point the finger at him. After all, how does that not appear as an attempt to shift the blame, or to try and weasel out of several convictions? Obama would brush it aside and step over the wreckage.

  3. These people are Obama’s cronies and mentors.  These are the people he had to please as he made his way up the ladder of Illinois politics.  The dots connect pretty well even if no one points a finger.  Obama can’t be uninvolved in this.  The only questions are how deeply and what did he actually do?

My only hope is that the FBI has: 1) Gotten stuff on Obama that they just haven’t acted on yet and 2) That they have finally risen past serving politicians and have remembered that they serve the country.

Let’s see, there are a couple of court challenges regarding Obama’s citizenship (yeah I know it’s a stretch, but...) and we now have a FBI investigation singeing his coattails.  He hasn’t even taken office yet!  I’d say his Presidency is off to a rousing good start.

  4. Oh Dr. Jeff! You say it so well!

  5. Yes, these people are Obama’s cronies and mentors.... but so are Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers. I wouldn’t look for any notable blowback against President Hussein over this, I really wouldn’t.

  6. This story is being covered like a blanket over here.
And I think Grumpy is right guys.  He has his butt covered well.

  7. It would really funny if it were in a movie or SNL skit.  As it is, it’s horrifying.

However, I can see an ‘up’ side to it all.  I think there’s an outside chance - very outside, we are talking about Illinois and Chicago here - the electorate may start to look more carefully at for whom they vote.  I realize that’s a long shot, but the possibility exists.

The state people are calling for a ‘special election’ to choose the replacement Senator.  Could there be enough backlash to actually elect a responsible and decent person; perhaps even a Republican or a real conservative?  Hope and Change, folks, Hope and Change.

Preliminary expectations are for Governor Blagojevich will be removed from office one way or another.  I presume the Lieutenant Governor or equivilent will replace him - unless indicted as a co-conspirator - but how will this play out in the next gubernatorial election?  It could be good for the side of the angels.

On the Hugh Hewett talk radio show on Tuesday, Mr. Hewett announced the Governor’s theme song - then played the theme music from the television game show, “The Price is Right”.  It amused me at least.

  8. Speaking of the price is right.

Photo and story in today’s paper, no doubt not news to you guys back home,
that Jessee Jackson’s son, Jr., was the one trying to buy Obama’s seat.

Jesse Jackson Jr named as man who tried to ‘buy’ Obama’s seat
A senior campaign adviser to Barack Obama has been implicated in the corruption scandal enveloping Chicago politics

    WHOA DREW:  WHAT I DO?

Tried giving you folks a link to above and got this.

    Action Denied: Blacklisted Item Found

Hey, can Jackson reach across the Atlantic?  Wow!  That’d make him more powerful then Google. Which is more powerful then the US govt.
    Cheers

  10. Will Barack be the first president impeached before he takes office?

  11. Harley, can’t do that to O because it might upset the euro-pee-ons. Can’t have that ya know.

Ans spweaking of euros ... the eu is currently attempting to BRIBE the Irish into voting themselves into the eu harness. Be interesting to see if the Irish go for it. I don’t think so but that could be wish over whatever may be reality.
