Sooo the masses in Britain (as are Americans)are being as mis-lead by the msm so much that they don’t have a clue as to reality? And all this is going to lead to is the end of civilization as we know it. . .

1. My niece had a medical emergency and was taken to the ER of a local private hospital. She had no insurance and was not eligible for any government medical programs. She was put in intensive care unit for 3 days and received terrific care from doctors, nurses and staff. They knew from the time she was brought in that she had no insurance.
2. A man who attends my mothers church (late 30’s, married with a 6 year old daughter, construction worker with out insurance or savings) was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer about a year ago. He has received extensive medical treatment in at least 2 facilities that I know of. I don’t think his prognosis is very good, but, he has not been turned down for any treatment his doctors have recommended.
They both have huge medical bills. But, they are alive. Some people at church are having a fund raiser for him on Saturday and my husband and I (along with a good portion of the town we live in) will turn out to do what we can. I know there are huge problems in the medical and insurance systems but it’s not a bad as the msm says.
I think a lot of the hostility arises from jealousy coupled with as the article suggests ignorance. Europeans resent the freedom and comparitve wealth. Or they used too. Standards of living in many European countries exceed the US now. Though the fact that they pay nothing for defence and rely on the US to bail them out seems to be taken fro granted.
Americans don’t always help themselves though. When I lived in Iowa I can’t tell you how many times I heard that old refrain “we saved your limey ass in dubya, dubya two” it got pretty tiresome after a while. No one likes have their nose rubbed in it over and over. They also tend to forget that we paid for all the stuff we bought from the US, lend lease was a loan not a freebie. We only finished paying the money back a couple of years ago.
