  1. Wait a second ... twice!

Once - your government has it’s own bar? Outstanding idea. Wouldn’t want to rub elbows at the pub with any of those icky constituents! Does the beer sell at government prices (£50 per pint) and does the taxpayer pick up the tab?

Twice - a shadow minister? Doesn’t that mean this woman isn’t actually a part of the official government at all? So she’s just some cranky bint with media access? So who gives a flying pancake what her opinions are?

  2. Shadow minister is the opposition bench. Good term when you think about it. I mean, the idea of shadowing the opposition. But yeah. She is a cranky bint and worse.

  3. I checked out her pic. She looks like a cranky old bat whose sole mission in life is spoiling other people’s fun.

Do y’all have Hooters restaurants (or their equivalent) over there? She’d have a conniption fit if they took over the Parliamentary bar.

What a hag… and what a bunch of wimps for not telling her to sod off (did I get that expression right?).

  5. You know what - I don’t like a lot of the ‘men’ stuff but come on - who the heck gives a damn how some company (who obviously KNOWS it’s clientele) advertises? Probably less than a dozen people even would be close enough to the damn tap to see that little gem. Bet Slaters is just lovin’ the free publicity.

It’s censorship and who died and made that moron God? There is no better place to reprint this than here - so sad that Britain is circling the civilization and moral sewer:

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
    C. S. Lewis
    English essayist & juvenile novelist (1898 - 1963)
