The question was, is and always shall be - Who decides what is ‘life’ and ‘quality of life’? I will be damned if I let one of these greedy bastards get to determine that for me or mine and therein lies the essence of the eternal problem.
If you read how women’s medicine was/is viewed - I can see (to a degree) how the feminazis get so anti-man - in the science world, Women’s medicine (still) if fraught with terrible injustice. And women like this who are willing to sell themselves and risk their health, reproductive future for a buck are part and parcel of the problem. But hey, they don’t care, if something happens they just file a lawsuit and then they will be in legal lotto heaven.
Bulldog - simple economics - that which is mass produced, quickly is of lesser value than that which is individually produced, slowly!

Maybe that’s one reason why the Cylons bombed the Twelve Colonies...so they wouldn’t have to pay any women survivors when they harvested their eggs and ovaries (remember, they can’t reproduce naturally)
If Embryonic Stem Cell research is so promising, don’t you think private enterprises (pharmaceutical companies) would already be funding its research to the max? What about foreign governments that fund everything like Germany or France, wouldn’t they be light years ahead in research and cures? To listen to people talk on TV, you would think that if this had been funded by the government for the past 5 years, most diseases would have been cured. Think of this, did the government fund research that discovered of Viagra?
Embryonic Stem Cell research a cash cow. There are millions to be made in this research, all at taxpayers expense. With government funding there are no checks and balances, no one to answer to on how the money is spent. When private industry does research, there are a Board of Directors and Stockholders to answer to; every penny is accounted for. The sad thing is many good people have been duped into believing that this research will provide the necessary cures for their loved ones.
Yes and it is the reason Merck (Vioxx, remember that one) is lobbying, oops pushing so hard for the gardisill to be mandated for use - it removes the spector of lawsuits. How absolutely cunning and to think that politicians are going along with it.
We need to cut them off at the Pass - it is time to enact Term Limits and a Fair or Flat Tax. Hit these sobs in the pocketbook - it seems to be the only thing that motivates them now.
