3. Ummm, that must have been the “old corps” air force. These enlightened days, they can’t be forced to do anything so dangerous....

   Overheard at a confirmation hearing:

   Assertion: But he spent twenty years in the Air Force!

   Response:  What was the deal?  Military wouldn’t have him?
