  1. What we have I fear is a country in terminal decline. You see it in every walk of life. Today I have been carrying on my nine month long battle with the wankers who control our borders to get my property back which these shits detained. I had to deal with some dipstick who could barely speak English. They get well paid government jobs because “they are under represented” apparently. On Thursday these idlers and waisters are going on strike because the government has told them they have to chip in a bit more money toward the gold plated pension they get which most of the private sector can only dream of. I wish the government would do a Ronald Reagan and fire their worthless collective asses and hire them back on terms that are more applicable to what they deserve.

  2. Nah, just fire them all. Most of the positions are jobsworths anyway.

I care not what “the law” might say: no unions belong in government at any level. To have them at all is to water the seeds of tyranny.  You work for the people at the people’s whim and approval. Period.

  3. And btw Lyndon and Drew.
And Lyndon will straighten me out if wrong.
It’s my understanding that even the public sector ‘jobsworths’ get bonuses. For hitting goals for example.  And even worse, the troops in the field bleeding at the moment, do NOT get the money the desk jockeys get who send em there and then don’t give adequate supplies.

Early on in the public sector, it was understood that the basic pay would be low but, you could take early retirement at 55 with a lower pension, or at 60 with full pension. Which was still better then the private sector because the govt. guaranteed that pension. But now, it appears that many are making more money, plus the bonuses, then the private sector on the same level. As Drew rightly says, you work for the people when you’re in a govt. job.

I think I have it right.  Lyndon? What have I missed?

  4. You didn’t miss anything. I should add that monocular moron Gordon Brown during his tenure added 500,000 public sector workers to the gravy train and at the same time took £5 billion per year in extra tax out of the stock exchange...you know, the place where pension companies used to invest their funds for pensions. So the sewer party (Labour) get 500,000 potential voters with gold plated pensions while he robbed the private sector pension industry to pay for it.
