How to tell the Iraq campaign is succeeding

  1. The War in Iraq is not ‘news’ because we are Winning and if we Win and Peace comes to Iraq - oil prices will go down because another (damn, I can’t find a word to go here - where is my thesaurus when I need it) - how about ‘functional’ state in that region will go a long way toward stablizing and making more civilized and rational that region which means that real life and work (like pumping oil, not blowing up the pipelines) can go on. . .The little thugs and demi-gods over there can’t and don’t want peace - because they’d probably be the next one on the assassination list and so they recruit old religious and ethnic hatreds to keep the violence up - and our guys and gals keep on keeping on and beat it back.

And the politicos here don’t even want to mention the Iraq War here - it is a damned if you do and damned if you don’t - because deep in their vile little hearts they know, they can’t win and be the ‘one’ to pull out and lose it. Even in their sick little minds - they don’t want that Loser label on their watch. . .And since the surge has worked, there is not a real choice other than to let OIF get to the finish line . . .

Better to couch it in the terms that might just get them elected - the Billions of $$$$$$$ wasted that could well be spent on freebies to the ‘people.’ Except that other than those cities who go for the Vote Early, Vote Often bus tours - the ‘people’ who vote aren’t the ones getting the ‘freebies’ and are getting sick and tired of paying for them. . .

Ouch. And add Clinton’s really awful negative ratings and He Who Cannot Be Named’s sudden ‘race’ problem (or is it a preacher problem?!?) and McAmnesty’s voting record as a Senator RHINO problem and this election is still racing to the Conventions as one of the most likely elections for a complete shock when We The People show that the DNC and RNC (not to mention the dnc propaganda machine, the msm) don’t chose who We The People elect for POTUS.

Hey I can dream, can’t I - this still is America, isn’t it? And where is a Ronald Reagan when we need one?
