4. Wow - 8 months - wonder what else Dear Readers Administration is keeping from us? They really don’t want to imply, infer or indicate that the radical terrorists who happen to be islamic are still after us - even though The Won who was to lower the seas and make the World love us (YOU REALLY LOVE US) is in power. Sort of like keeping it on the down low that there are now boots on the ground (more just added) in Libya after he ‘promised’ that there weren’t going to be any US boots on the ground. . . sort of like GitMo being closed. . .sort of like troops withdrawn from Iraq and Afghanistan. Me, I’m still wondering when Bill ‘home by Christmas’ Clinton is going to bring those troops home. Talk about a never-ending war.

   Um - don’t know how ‘over the top’ it is but the new CBS show Person of Interest - really could fuel a backlash on the ‘Uncle Obama’ spying on us issue (i.e. warrantless wire tapping) - as that is the basis of the show - the ‘machine’ that sorts through all the data to find the ‘terrorists’ is listening/watching us all. And gee, isn’t that one more evil bushitlerburtonco program that The Won is still hanging on to. Another promise killed.

   And btw, another 425,000 filed for new unemployment benefits.

   And these morons want to re-elect this dangerous liar - again? He makes Jimmy Carter, GWB and Bill Clinton look like pikers.

   Liars all. And it’s going to get us killed.

5. The APU of a 737, and most modern jets, is a small jet or turbfan engine located in the tail of the aircraft. It provides electrical and hydrolic power absent any ground supply. iIf that is where the writing is located, it hould be fairly simple to track down the perps. Nobod gets a lift and zips on over to an airplane, raises up to the tail, and does the deed without notice.  If the writing in on the leadng edge slats, where hot air pipes help keep the wings from icing up in flight, that is a different story. Still, this is very disturbing.

8. Thanks Rickvid, I didn’t know. So it’s likely that the graffiti is some kind of heat activated substance.

   Here’s a link to far more info that anyone will ever want to know about them unless they work for the airlines.

   It should also make for fun trivia: know your jets - how many jet engines on a 737? Answer: 3. One under each wing and one up the tail.

   I don’t think these provide much of any actual thrust, but like those no-thrust rocket packs on the bottom of artillery shells I bet the hot exhaust from the APU does a lot to help with the air drag, making the plane more efficient. Kewl!
