Lax gunlaws my a**! Follow the links and read how extensive the investigation was. Ohio’s laws just didn’t have much to do with it one way or the other. The guy had a long and ugly record with the BATF. What’s the old saying? When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns? If you’re willing to break the law, you can have any sort of gun you want, pretty much any time. Most of us just don’t work that way, but then, we’re what most would consider honest citizens. I’m ashamed to say he was also an NRA director. Ah well, every family’s got one.
Actually Dr. Jeff - it seems to me that if you are a criminal in the US (and certainly in most other parts of the World) it is easier to get a gun.
But this is typical liberal giberish - attempt to outlaw something we don’t like, even though it isn’t the real reason for the problem and then just ignore the fact that the problem still exists (actually increases) down the road until you can find another bogus reason to outlaw - rather than ever addressing the core issue. Ever.
And Dr. Jeff - you also pointed out another liberal tactic - find the one (conservative, religious person, NRA, whatever) who is a criminal or partaking of the issue he/she is crusading against to hold up to the light and scream hypocrit (and imply that all _____ are also the same closet liars and hypocrits) -
Any smear will do - as long as it diverts attention from that fact that nothing is being done to stem crime in America.
P.S. How come the anti gun crowd always seems to ignore the fact that crime and murders go up when firearms are restricted or banned? Just check England and Australia if you want an eye opener, but then, you’ve got to be willing to look and accept reality. Accepting reality is something that the current generation of Neo Fascists don’t want to do.
Straw purchasing Is a felony- a federal one. It just means a U.S. attorney for the area has to be willing to file charges and prosecute it…
