I’ll wager that the same lefto-politicos who were decried the “taint of illegitimacy” of the Iraqi elections will claim that this election with its FAR LOWER TURN OUT demonstrates that power of a healthy voting society.
Saw this over at LGF. Charles Moore at the Telegraph (in the UK) writes on the sheer size of the European Constitution, which, as he points out, is one big document which denotes which powers the Government has over the people!
Even the Spanish justice minister extols the virtues of the European Constitution for its citizens:
According to the Spanish justice minister: “You don’t have to read the treaty to know it’s a good thing.” In Spain, at least, it seems likely that the faithful will accept this secular bishop’s advice: they won’t read the constitution, and they will vote for it.
