How far the Brits have fallen

  1. Baby sitters are routinely teenage girls, usually 12 - 15 years old. At least they used to be. So, does that mean a felony is committed when you “pass the powers of agency” to a minor for hire, since they’re actually infants in the eyes of the law and too young to assume actual legal responsibility (ie agency) even if they’re taking money to do so, because they can’t be legally bound to a contractual obligation, even if it’s just a verbal one good for a couple hours?

Better keep one of the parents in the house 24-7 then. Women, got a kid? Quit your jobs and be a stay at home mommy, or else!

  2. Hi Chris ... started writing and then lost it all. ?? Happens when I hit the wrong key.

Yeah, sad init? (as some Brits say it but never my wife and for sure not our Lyndon)

Thankfully I do have a story of a more positive note to follow but overall, unless things change here and change very radically, this place is indeed doomed. Which makes me worry about the USA because I honestly fear that there are enough liberals in power and in important decision making rolls, who really do believe with no malice intended, that America would be a better place if we had closer ties to Europe and their courts. Can you just imagine that?  I can ... in today’s upside down world. One world, one court.

Ein Reich, Ein Volk, Ein Fuhrer?

I heard an American on the BBC last night. He’s moved here apparently because America has nothing to offer anymore. No. He didn’t say that but he sounded it. Anyway, a question was asked at the end of the program of all the panelists, what politician would you NOT want to be deserted on an island with.
His answer, to the great applause and cheers of the very left leaning audience, was ...

    “Any Republican in the USA”

Tis ppl like him that worry me and of course the usual boogy man ... the 5th column.

  3. Yes after decades in the military - 10 is the youngest for latch key and 12 is youngest for taking the Red Cross Babysitting course.

This frosts me when I had one neighbor who routinely LOCKED her 3 children out of the apartment when she went to the dining facility to work - had another who locked her kids in the apartment when she went out on ‘dates’ while her husband was on an exercise. And the MTFs no longer give out cold packs (Tylenol/aspirin and cough syrup) because of all the ‘good’ mommies who doped up their kids to hit the clubs while daddy was gone. [In case you are wondering - most was learned about from 3rd party or after the fact - or I would have reported them and become even more despised]

Such a shame - but this is what comes from a Nanny State trying to takeover every aspect of the citizens lives - the question becomes how far will Gov take away before the Brits rise up and fight back.

The end is starting here - I am glad to see it - get back to a little sense and sensibility. Set things right again.

Really? When I was that age, most of my MALE friends did babysitting. Most of my female friends did too. As did my sisters.

Methinks you’ve watched too many babysitter pr0n movies.

Speaking of that, sometimes my female friends and I would meet at the house either of us were babysitting at that weekend…
