How could having a good ‘story’ make Obama a good president.?

  1. I thought that the Libs were against having a “Story Teller” for President.
They have complained a lot about the one we have now.
George’s “Lies” pale when compared with Barack’s Whoppers!

  2. To be fair, a lot of what drives Hillary supporters doesn’t seem to be mere bitterness that she lost, it seems to be some pretty shoddy treatment that was resolutely ignored by her party, as they were busy being dazzled by “Hope And Change”. Remember “Iron My Shirt”? Granted, there’s is a fair body of evidence to suggest that it was a setup, possibly even by *her own team*, so she could show herself being Strong Against Sexism(tm). But regardless of the tactics of it, had someone held up a sign saying “Back to the cotton field, nigger!” at an Obama rally the press would be all over it and the Dems would be all over the news saying how terrible it was. It WOULD NOT MATTER if the Obama campaign had set it up themselves. Yet in a closely parallel situation, Hillary got barely a mention, not only from the press but from her own party. The female Hillary voters think she got thrown under the bus by the party for the sake of looking good to the black voters. And I gotta admit, I can see a certain validity to their point.

That’s the problem with identity politics, especially when it’s based on the “my group has always been so oppressed, but this time things will be different” theme. It came down to a choice of going with the woman and being seen as racist, or going with the black guy and being seen as sexist. There was no way to avoid having your decision be “based in prejudice” because the Dems have invested too many years in “if you don’t agree, you’re ____ist”, in defiance of any *actual logic* that may have applied at the time. They’re doing it with Sen. Hussein even now. If you don’t like him, it must be because he’s black. It CAN’T BE because he’s extreme left, associates with felons and terrorists, wants to socialize your entire life, etc. etc. etc.... it can’t even be because he’s changed his position so many times you can’t tell what you’re getting by voting for him. Nah, none of that can be a factor. It has to be that you’re a racist and he’s, you know, black. But the 92% of black Democrats that voted for him, they aren’t racists. They voted for him because he has Judgment to Lead(tm).
