  1. We are firmly in the ‘wait until movie comes to cheap seat theater, redbox or tv - it’s bothering the family who desperately want to see Harry Potter 30 - but alas with no jobs, no lottery win, no rich relative dying - it’s the best we can do.

I heard that Captain America was good & this is from guys that well, are into that kind of movie.

Too many remakes, comic to movie and movie ‘Z’ sequel 25 coming out - there are zillions of great books both fiction (I rarely read) and non-fiction (i.e. real reality) to do stories on - why are the 20 something morons in charge of hollyweird redoing/doing stupid stuff? Again. And. Again. Reminds me of a great story along the lines of the blind side (and yes, it is racially acceptable in this ‘historic’ era, our hero is black). Back in the mid/late 90s a young football player at UK was offered a contract to make a movie about his life, he was on the team, so they set it up to not even start until after he graduated - but alas all the libreals/NCAA squashed the deal - as it would be wrong for his NCAA football playing (to give you idea, how stupid that really was - it was 3 weeks until the end of the season) - so the movie never, ever got made. Harold Dennis was one of the survivors of the KY bus crash and was burned in his face - at age 13. It would have made a very inspirational movie - but the powers that be don’t want the young of America to understand that some young people believe in God and many young people face terrible hardships - AND STILL MAKE SOMETHING OF THEMSELVES. Since it is now more than 20 years since the crash (and Harold isn’t a college kid anymore) it’s lost funding to get it going. Sad. And sadly - typical. Instead we get comic books made into costly wastes of time.

And as the dumbed down gen X keep getting into higher and higher positions - it’s going to get worse. Idiocracy, here we come.

It’s like right now with almost every movie and commercial run over a late 60s/early 70s music soundtrack - I’m to the point where I hate to listen to the music I grew up with & loved. Get over yourselves (Little Miss Perky Valerie Bertinelli - who is looking younger than her son - on a sleezey little ditty about older women acting like they are 18 again) and GROW UP.

No wonder America is screwed up - the perpetual children being childish and amoral - are in control and attempting to get rid of all the ‘rules’ they despise.

  2. If you loved the first Indiana Jones movie, run - do not walk- to see Captain America.

(the makers said they went in every day vowing to “out-Indy Indy” and they succeeded.)

    Really good stuff....

  3. I am anxious to see it, missed a couple of opportunities this weekend, by maybe tonight. I saw in a preview a piece where Tommy Lee Jones flips a grenade (dummy) in front of Rogers squad, they all ran except scrawny Steve, who dove on it to save his squadmates. Perfect “Hell Yeah!” moment and convinced me I have to see this one. Maybe I can forgive Marvel for the other CA movies that sucked SO bad.
