Holiday Weirdness
No offense Allan, but that doesn’t really qualify for a Darwin. He was actually TRYING to kill himself. I suppose you could argue that he’s taking his depressive genes out of the pool, but technically Darwins are only awarded to someone who does something REALLY STOOPID and accidentally kills him or herself. What am I saying, it’s always a he.

Craig, IMHO anybody who is this creative in inventing a new way to take their genes out of the gene pool is a candidate, even if they do it intentionally. Ya just gotta reward asinine inventiveness somehow. Regarding male dominance of Darwin Awards, it is true that males tend to be better at mortal foolishness than females but that is only because women get their kicks encouraging these men to depart the gene pool. They are guardians of the racial DNA.
