Hitler said? Like hell. Try the Jesuits.
Ok, Adolf may have mentioned it as well. But indoctrinating children - giving them a corrupt “normal” to base their lives on - is nothing new. Happens all the time with the paleswinians, the wannabe transgender freakazoids, the red diaper babies, and so on. But it’s far bigger and older even ...
You’ve got to be taught before it’s too late,
Before you are six or seven or eight,
To hate all the people your relatives hate,
You’ve got to be carefully taught!
Actually, the whole “outlander” concept may be the core belief that every human culture is built on, and always has been. “We” are us because we aren’t “you”, who are different. Therefore we are the only real people, and you’re not quite human. And because you’re different you’re wrong, and probably in need of killing, or at least raiding and burning.
It only counts as brainwashing if they aren’t your beliefs. Otherwise it’s the right and proper learning of culture, history, religion, etc., needed to build a moral and well brought up human.
I’ve said it often about our current (p)Resident - Leni Riefenstahl would be so proud. Apparently leftist/socialist/tyrants are the same the world over.
Point well taken Drew but I have to say. This miserable EU thing is being force fed. And of course, getting to the kiddies and directing their thinking raises a generation that knows no better. Where folks are aware of laws and rules that seem to over ride and bitch about
it, the next generation won’t give it a second thought cos it’ll be the norm by the time they’re 10.
I’m not entirely clear on how it managed to get this far. Of course, the Labour govt. was in power for 13 years and did their worst. But it started even before then.
Don’t any of you remember the NEA teachers leading their ‘students’ in songs praising ‘Barack Hussein Obama, hmmm, hmmm, hmmm’. It was sickening. If you don’t remember, here’s the link.
As a commenter said: Goebbels would be proud…
Now, I think Ronald Reagan is the greatest President in my lifetime (so far) but I certainly wouldn’t sing such crap about him. I think he would be insulted if I did. Now, if I were to lead my students in the National Anthem, or the Pledge of Allegiance, that would bring a tear to Reagan’s eye.
BTW, I’m one of those who would like to see the national anthem changed. The Star-Spangled Banner is just too damned hard to sing. I’d prefer America the Beautiful. I’ve emphasized parts that show the USA is a work in progress…
America the Beautiful
Words by Katharine Lee Bates,
Melody by Samuel Ward
O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!O beautiful for pilgrim feet
Whose stern impassioned stress
A thoroughfare of freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God mend thine every flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law!O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife.
Who more than self their country loved
And mercy more than life!
America! America!
May God thy gold refine
Till all success be nobleness
And every gain divine!O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!O beautiful for halcyon skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the enameled plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till souls wax fair as earth and air
And music-hearted sea!O beautiful for pilgrims feet,
Whose stem impassioned stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till paths be wrought through
wilds of thought
By pilgrim foot and knee!O beautiful for glory-tale
Of liberating strife
When once and twice,
for man’s avail
Men lavished precious life!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till selfish gain no longer stain
The banner of the free!O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till nobler men keep once again
Thy whiter jubilee!
I suspect I’ve gotten off-topic…
