  1. Drew,
Unfortunately people take things to far sometimes, sometimes that’s just the way it is!  I myself have not once found a person that disagreed with the invasion of Afghanistan.  Iraq on the other hand has been met with a great deal of controversy.  These folks that take the decision to go into Iraq badly should not be taking their anger towards the family’s of the armed forces.  They know not what they do.....

  4. You know the sign (in the picture) and those who adhere to the idea it promotes, really breaks my heart and p*sses me off big time - My son is one big huge soft hearted amazing young man - he worked his way through college (which took 5 years - due to two transfers), spent less than 6 months in any one assignment for his first 5 years of service, went to Iraq - worked with the CPA over there - told me that the hardest part of the battle (1st) for An Najaf was that the townspeople were trying to come out and shake their hands and wave welcome to them while the bullets were flying! - he came home and right up to the week before redeployment worked with and guided ‘his’ guys toward the next deployment and was pulled out to a new assignment - he called that night - ‘Mom, I’m worried about my guys, they are going without me’ - lucky for him, his sister thought he needed a diversion and re-introduced him to an old highschool friend - they married in 06 and later in the year had the most beautiful (and she is soooo good at making his ‘stern’ faces, even as a babe in arms) baby born in the US. . .He carries a burden that he shared with me (which I’ve told no one) from the War and now is gone again - deployed to another part of the World to keep America and those allies of ours who cannot fully defend themselves safe from vile, evil people of the World. . .And he also defended these scum, advocating his outright and unprovoked murder from Iraq that first deployment - ‘Don’t let what they say bother you Mom, at all, I am over here defending their right to say any thing they want, as much as I’m over here to keep you safe.’

Too bad these idiots don’t have a real clue about dignity, honor and class that my 28 year old son had.
