Mitt Romney comes as close to being a REAL Republican as one can find in the “True Blue” Northeast. Most other self-proclaimed Repubs in the area are RINOs at best, and outright leftists at worst. Mitt’s biggest problem is going to be national name recognition - other than the states surrounding Massachusetts, and those intimately familiar with the Winter Olympics in that were held in Utah a few years back, not too many average Americans are going to instantly recognize Mitt’s name.
The squeaky wheels get the grease, and currently, the squakiest wheels are The Hildebeest and John McCain. In the case of the former, the squakiest wheel is also the barkingest moonbat.

Romney is also a Mormon. Is America ready for that? Hmmmmmmm ....?
We’ve had two Quakers already.
I do remember Romney senior, just couldn’t remember the state from which he hailed.
It is interesting to see how massachusetts which is usually far to the left of Chairman Mao, seems to regularly elect Republican governors. Once in a while, they slip, and elect thr likes of Dukakis, then they fall back into common sense for a while. Lather, rinse, repeat…
But when it comes to senators, the folks of the PRM consistently vote for Ted “fatboy” Kennedy, AKA The World’s Oldest Juvenile Delinquent
Mitt Romney is a true rarity in the world of politics, a decent, honest man. And he doesn’t let his Mormon faith get in the way, he doesn’t believe in imposing it on others.

The vote for Republicans in Ames will be insane. I was there when President Bush beat Steve Forbes. It looked like Forbes had more buses but W. won the vote.
To vote you must have an Iowa drivers license and you have to go to Ames. A funny line last time was, “The first thing I’ll do as President is inform William Clinton, ‘You have the right to remain silent.”
Iowaonions, a vote for Governor Jeb Bush will stop Hillary in 2008!!!
Republicans need a proven Florida vote grabber in the next Presidential election.
