Talk about STUPID....
It’s not stupid - it’s denial. Imagine people telling you that the person you love and have lived with - wanted you dead. It is what keeps these women silent and going back again and again - until as greyjohn said - it becomes a dead woman telling her tale.
It took me years to use the words battered wife. And to realize exactly the depth of the evil monster I’d been married too - who is the father to two of my children.
Until the liberal social do gooders stop calling it domestic violence and making it as big a crime as if the victim had been another man - it just demeans women. Much like the father who molests his daughter - ‘needs our sympathy’ - while if he had done it to someone else’s daughter - he’d be in jail.
Seeing the female as property of the man causes the uneducated and poor or abused women is a less than category - so things like this are to be expected. Imagine how much worse it is for women and girls in cultures that truly do demean and see women as worthless.
