Help me out here please

Peiper, Christopher, Mr. C: if this works, then it’s a better way to control image placement and padding. That is, if you want to wrap text around the pictures. For pictures on lines by themselves, it’s the same old same thing: just paste them in.

I know, I’m writing about padding and I stick in a picture of Heidi Montag. Hey, I’m staying on topic! grin

UPDATE: the aligned images now use class="pic" to get some padding, and style="float: direction;” for alignment.

  1. I went through a nightmare getting blogger to work with my sidebar, because Internet Explorer is such a lousy browser.

    These attributes were written in the css as fixes to the ‘float-drop’ problem I experienced. I don’t know if they will help..

    word-wrap: break-word;
    overflow: hidden;

    Of course, the best bet is to ditch IE as soon as possible. Firefox, or Google’s Chrome, are better alternatives.

  2. Meh. Haven’t used IE on my comp in ages, since I switched to Ubuntu Linux.
    Firefox 3 is the BOMB. I especially love the fact that Firefox ‘remembers’ your tabs if you crash and gives you the opportunity to restore them upon restarting.

  3. Running XP and Firefox here, and it looks great! (especially the first pic).

    Not sure about the need to remove the dentures(second pic), unless it has something to do with the first pic?

    Vista?  What’s that?

  4. Friends don’t let friends use Internet Explorer.

    Now to get the Linux crowd to stop thinking of their OS as too good for the likes of Windows users.

  5. XP64 & Firefox 3 on what was a honkin’ monster computer I built 6 months ago. Now it’s worth a half-hearted quack because of all the new hardware recently introduced crash  crash  crash

    The spacing is much improved, Drew! Works like it should. I’ve been wondering about the text overun problem here myself.

    I am at present ivestigating the global warming every day when I have to scrape 6 inches of solidified white warming residue off my car here in sunny Ontario! locals tell me it is just like it used to be in the old days (pre GW )
    Didnt a soviet scientist get a whole heap of derision back in 01 or 2 for predicting global cooling in the coming years because of solar flare activity, or lack of?
