  1. Years ago BBC radio 4 had an interview with the then head of British immigration. This was years before the scumbag Blair threw open the doors and years before economic migrants started claiming asylum as a means of circumventing immigration. What he predicted is that we would see boat loads of deadbeats flooding into Europe from Africa and Asia. He also suggested we would have to take drastic action such as sinking these ships otherwise we would end up in the same position as the countries these people are coming from.

Sadly I don’t see the will to take the kind of robust action needed. The Royal Navy is a shadow of its former self now. What is needed is for the navies of Europe to park them selves across the Mediterranean and send these ships back from whence they came or failing that sink them.

  2. 796 people and not a one of them educated/skilled/resilient enough to figure out how to steer/start up a small ship?

The Ezadeen was built nearly 50 years ago and is a livestock carrier

Doesn’t this sound like the original American sin - slavery, to you?

    Sure does to me.

Since when does humane treatment include people willing to spend their life savings and/or sell themselves/families into slavery to coyotes/smugglers - to break National laws to invade another Nation and squat until some bleeding heart liberal convinces someone else that it would be inhumane to send them home?

If one ‘law of the land’ (pick your favorite - but I bet National healthcare, gun control and taxation are the top three of most politicos) - must be obeyed - why must me all bow down to and accept the invasion of criminal illegals whose sole intention is to get on the dole and then force their ‘new’ home to bend to their third world ‘culture’ - which conveniently is what they ‘claim’ that they are fleeing?

Do the world and taxpayers a favor and let it sink.

Yes, it sounds heartless and cold - but I’m only thinking of the people in their intended Nation of invasion who will avoid dying from illiterate and incompetent drivers, thieves, and thugs refusing to assimilate and then becoming violent/terroristic when the locals refuse to accept their ‘culture’.

Want acceptance of your ‘culture’ - stay where it was developed and nurtured in the first place. Want to flee from it - apply for a legal path to actually Immigrate - not invade.

  3. Damn right.

  4. This was only one of two ships that unfortunately make it through and were rescued.

Two shiploads now for the Italians to deal with and they are not happy campers.

Oh btw .... another ship a week ago landed at Greece. And they are really overjoyed.

Soon as all the riff-raff are settled and processed and given warmth and housing of some kind, they will set themselves to work.
New mosques of course. Almost mandatory.

I wish those ships had sunk or been blown up as gunnery practice.

Any bets on where they’ll eventually head for?
Tell em Lyndon.  Oh I see you already have.

  5. Forgot to mention it. Italy got to play savior/host to 2 ships in one week.
And this sort of vessel looks to become the norm as the ppl who organize it all find larger profit in taking a cargo ship instead of the previous smaller boats that hold fewer life forms.

Following on then ,,,, perhaps the sinkings and fatalities will go up too.
It’s been reported that in 2014, only 4,000 got to meet Davy Jones.

So, bigger ships, bigger cargo, the hope of higher numbers who don’t make it.

The smugglers buy old rusted hulks on their last legs for maybe $150,000 to 2,000,000 but their profit per cargo is something like 4 million.

  6. I’ll concede every point that every one of you has made.

I want to ask a question from a different perspective.  Just how messed up does life at home have to be to get people to:  Get onto a leaky cattle boat, get picked up and rescued by a navy, shoved into a refugee camp and ultimately living on welfare.  That’s not a real happy scenario for most people, that’s desperation time.

Then again, that is what ultimately happens in any area ruled by Islam.  From the time the Ottoman Empire began, development of any real value ended.  Even with the addition of imported technology and expanding access to information and skills, the Islamic world is still a pigsty, barely able to feed itself.

Even relatively “progressive” Islamic countries such as Indonesia are barely holding on the the advances they’re making.

The Gulf States with their monumental architecture are going to have a hard time staying as centers of commerce, because when the oil runs out, most commerce around the world conflicts with Sharia in some way.  They can change or die.  Islam won’t let them change.

  8. First, no nation has an obligation to them. They took their chances. Personally, I’d regard it as an hostile invasion and sink the damn thing.

Having said that, how hard is it to crew the ship? Maybe my Navy training is kicking in but if I had ever ended up as senior petty officer I’m sure I could have piloted that ship to port.
