  1. I don’t like this. I’ve long remembered the events of the “Summer of Love” and the amount of blood that was shed at that time, and the fact remains is that I don’t like this one bit. You think today is bad? Well, than you should see a time when two sides of the country were practically in an undeclared war in all but name and consistency.

I don’t want a return to those times. If we should get violent, it is better that it be at the genuine atrocities or infringements of the enemy rather than from said enemy’s tendency to be as irritating as all hell.

I hope this is a one-off thing, but I cannot say for sure.

  2. Ok, it’s a two-off thing, and let’s hope it ends there. But I don’t think it will.

The Right in America is fed up. We’ve given ground, held our voices, gone along to get along, and taken shit for too long. The anger is there, simmering to a near boil. And it could very well boil over.

Just because we haven’t pushed, doesn’t mean we have forgotten how. There is some old axiom about the hand that doesn’t grasp the sword forgetting how to. But we’re the ones with closets full of the darn things.
