Happy To Be Dry

 

1. PLEASE send some of that rain down here. We are in the middle of the worst one-year drought in recorded history, with little help in sight.

   If you don’t pay your fair share of the rain to us, I’ll report you to:

   a) Al Gore
   b) obama
   c) the Occupy Wall Street loons
   d) all of the above.

2. Yes I’m sick of rain - going to go out today and plow down the grass in the yard. I went out the other day (mind you we’ve been between 75 and 80 the past few days) as my daughter and I saw smoke and smelled a wood fire - the one part of the yard was like a marsh - and it hasn’t rained in almost a week.

   We are still trying to figure out the fastest/easiest way to get rid of the weeds etc in the garden plots - considering that even covering them didn’t do all that much to prevent serious growth. Oh well - maybe a combo of fire, cardboard and plastic will end their messy little lives. We weren’t able to grow much of anything last year - and did not even get fruit from the trees this year - but the damn weeds can grow anywhere and don’t seem to get drowned out. Actually we did buy some recommended for garden plots weed/grass killer - we just have to get them as cleared as we can before using.

   I would send the rain - if I could. We are all so sick of it here, we wish we’d never left Texas!
