  1. One of the problems with the cycles of famine in Africa is that free food comes in and makes locally food worthless just long enough for the farmers to go broke, ensuring less food next year. Corruption is another problem with government officials getting rich and getting jobs for their tribe while little of the aid goes to those that need it. There are charities where you can pay for animals to be donated (goats produce milk and cheese and meat, rabbits provide food and fur and you can donate bees or even an ‘ark’ of dozens of animals) or microloans of a few hundred dollars can be made to individuals; a village can be targeted with these programs and show that they work for far less than any ‘official aid program’.

The other side of the coin is that when African states collapse, bad things happen. Europe is starting to see illegal aliens by the thousands. Going from Libya (one of K-daffy’s services was stopping these refugees), the refugees land on a small Italian island where they are taken to the mainland and (I love this) given passes and tickets for the train into France. From France they try to get to the UK which has the most generous welfare programs and won’t even kick out terrorists because the terrorist’s home country might jail them. The pirates in East Africa were Somali fishermen until the government collapsed. Fishermen from nearby countries overfished Somali waters because there was no regulation and the Somalis found out that piracy was easier.
