  1. This whole thing stinks to high heaven, what are the chances of an embedded journalist being at the right place at the right time? being armed w/ a videocam no less?? about the same odds of a GI carrying his videocam into battle to highlight his bravery (Kerry).
War is hell, these young men (GI’s) are not the police, they are there to seek and kill the rats that seek to kill them. Overreaction, maybe, but the enemy has used and is using civilians as cover to ambush our soldiers and thinks nothing of killing innocent people. This is their strategy and the press falls into the trap every time big_us_flag

  2. The fact of the matter is there are no “innocent civilians” in Iraq. Every troop I’ve heard from tells me the Iraqi people know where the IED’s are hidden. They watch the insurgents bury the damn things and then scurry for cover when a US patrol comes along. The troops are frustrated as hell with the people of Iraq who are not willing to stand up for themselves or to help the US soldiers who are trying to protect them. They simply stand back and watch American soldiers get killed. That is the main reason I’ve heard from various troops as to why the Marines in Haditha may have blown their cool. I almost don’t blame them for taking it out on the “civilians”.

    ARRRGH!

  4. Lots of coincidences there, and in addition to those listed above,
Semitic people bury their dead the same day they die if possible, and have strong beliefs about respecting the dead.
Why/how were the bodies still in those houses the next day.
Why weren’t the bodies at least prepared for burial by the next day?
Video taping the dead is is disrespectful.
Why no pics of the Marines’ or their vehicles?
Who leaked the info - no Marine officer would ever give a statement off the record.

Sounds like a setup to me; it’s even possible jihadis did the killings to blame the Marines.  The unrelenting bias of the Leftist, seditionist press and their colleagues in the Congress have played into the hands of the jihadis, who know they can’t win on the battlefield but might win the war by breaking the will of America.  Neither Zarqawi nor the Shiite hardliners would have any qualms killing innocents to make points with the press, because they have seen how the MSM is their ally in trying to oust Americans from Iraq.

This constant seditious drumbeat of the Left, with no MSM news whatsoever about the good things happening in Iraq and Afghanistan or the heroism of individual troops, has me enraged.  If y’all hear a news blurb involving a neocon nut with a pitchfork, a member of Congress, tar and feathers, that’d be me. The pitchfork part, that is. At the moment I’d be embarrassed to admit that I was a member of Congress.

  5. Ok, my nose is smelling more and more nasties the deeper we go into this ‘breaking’ story - and will Murtha, Time, McGirk et al ever apologise or print a retraction (one, much less the number to match all their ‘massacre’ stories numbers)? No, you know it and I know it. Just wrote Time magazine a scathing note to let them know that they’d best call their ‘coverage’ on Haditha an opinion piece, a smear tabloid piece, or a set up - but don’t call it a ‘news’ piece.

I just wish that there was a way to write to each and every member of Kilo Company in the 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division and say that this American family does not believe that garbage printed in Time penned by a possibly biased ‘reporter’, the spewing of Rep Murtha, and the questionable ‘statements’ made by Haditha Iraqis. We still believe in innocent until proven quilty and the timeline in this ‘breaking’ story indicates not a Marine coverup but more likely a concerted effort to get all the ‘informers’ telling the same story. . .

If just the line - the IED went off in front of the home of ‘journalism student’ - is not enough to set off alarms and maybe just maybe indicate that this was a set up . . .
perhaps the fact that the ‘video’ of the ‘victims’ was not shot until the next morning - might just be another brick. . .

But what pushed me over was that the ‘humanitarian’ Group waited 4 months - not talking to local Iraqi leaders who met with the Marines regularly, did not pass it onto media or International Humanitarian Groups nor even post it onto Aljazeera - but wait 4 months to talk to a Time Reporter . . .

What garbage and I hope that McGirk and Time pay dearly for this crap . . . Rep Murtha I hope gets a special place in hell for what he’s done to these young Marines, he should know better and unless he apologises (much, often, in print and on tape) I will not change how I feel about him.

My Lai my a**—My LIE is more like it.

  6. Hmmm...an IED went off in front of this guy’s house (let’s ignore the fishiness of that for a moment), and he runs out and all that. If the Marines in question were really pissed and in the massacring mood, would he not have been the first to go? Luckily the Marines ignored the obvious first target (and an obvious place to look for someone setting off the IED) and went into four other houses and killed all of them - luckily because this guy was a journalist, and now we know the truth mad Sure.

If this guy was a real journalist (even one in training) - or even had the equipment to report at all - Al Jazeera would have reported it within the hour.

  7. Yet again it’s shown that TIME is a willing puppet of leftist socialist interests. What a pile of steaming shit
