  1. NOT A Hacker! Not at all.  Just some twit coerced into opening bank accounts so the real hackers could wire money to them.  Then perhaps withdrawing the money and sending it via Western Union or some other method overseas.  The real hackers are safe in Russia or the Ukraine soaking up all the money and reporting to their Russian Mafia bosses who would behead them or worse if they got out of line.

The Russian Mob uses their own people to facilitate their business here.  These people are usually simple immigrants, but the Mob likely helped them immigrate (legally or otherwise) and they owe them money or services.  So this young woman’s mother may have been threatened back home, etc.

Either way, being a money mule does not require hacker skills and she doesn’t even know the people who were paying her to open bank accounts.  These mules are the bottom rung of the ladder… Should be trying to catch the big fish.

  3. ...and next week the movie studios will be throwing millions at her for the rights to her story, too.  They won’t be able to pass that up.

  4. It said Chapman would be working on developing the bank’s ‘information technologies’ and described her as a ‘creative and multi-faceted employee who truly cares about Russia’s destiny’.

Ive met a few gals over the years who are creative and multi faceted. Limber too.
