And don’t forget the terrifying sequel
SATURDAY THE 14th!
While not exactly triskadekaphobic, I don’t make plans for long trips on Friday the 13th’s ..........................
13...it comes between 12 and 14. Whooop de do.
Who all remembers “Friday the 13th Part IX: Jason vs. SMU”? I do!
I don’t think I’m a bit superstitious.
But, except in situations involving cards and dice, I do have a limited respect for ‘hunches’—if they don’t contradict the evidence. I believe there’s a bunch more observing and processing going on in our brains than we’re aware of.
I am absolutely not superstitious. I don’t believe in any luck at all....good or bad. It is a God thing. Either he is in control or he isn’t.
On the issue of luck, I will go along with the elder Moltke: “In the long run, the lucky man is usually the able one.”
I will leave superstition to anyone who believes in it.
Ha! Scared? Are you kidding? We military folk got PAID today…
HAPPY FRIDAY THE 13TH!
I didn’t even know it was one of “those days” today
Meh, just another day. Haven’t been noticably unlucky today.
Hell, my best friend’s little brother was born on Jan 13, 1989 (and I have heard rumors at 1313 (1:13 PM) - don’t know how accurate THOSE are)...which was a Friday. Doesn’t seem terribly unlucky - himself or to others.
Holy crap! It’s his B-day is today! D’oh!
When I was a tot my mother reminded my grandmother that the following Friday was my birthday. Gran’s response was “Oh, Friday the thirteenth, that’s an unlucky day”. I didn’t know about Friday the thirteenth and thought she was refering to my birthday as an unlucky day. I never forgave the old battleaxe.
Years later, I checked the calendar to see when this occured. It was my first birthday.
#7.....what she said!
I get nervous about Friday the 13th if someone in my family is ill as both my mother & my sister died on Friday the 13th..........my mother in 1981 and my sister in 1985........so far no more Friday the 13th deaths............but it is always in the back of my mind............
