It sounds like the problem is pretty much self regulating. If the company that produces gameporn suffers from loss of profits and market availability and being dumped by investors, why should the gov’t. get involved? Oh, yeah, cuz the Demoncrats want to!
Funny how the people that support real porn under the guise of the First Amendment can’t stand the thought of poor little pixels getting some.
Most people know the difference when they see it.
I haven’t seen this particular game, so I can’t judge it. Of course, I’d only be judging for myself as standards vary.
Looks like some porngrammers are gonna be lookin’ for work, eh?
“Grand Theft—California”
An exciting new game in which the entire state cracks at a huge fault line and slides into the Pacific. The people of the other 49 States go on as if nothing had happened, feigning confusion & forgetfulness when the word “California” is mentioned. (Sort of like the way Germans behaved, after WW2, when asked about the missing six million Jews; with the huge exception that this is seen as a positive thing.
Cheap wine and oranges temporarily spike in price, but the value of beachfront property in Arizona and Nevada soars. Senators Barbara Boxer and Barbara Boxer are missing and presumed dead—which is highly suspicious, since they were in Washington D.C. at the time. Again, nobody asks any questions.
Anyone who pays taxes in California knows precisely what “Grand Theft California” really is.
Oink, from a purely geological point of view, your scenario would be a catastrophe on the magnitude of Krakatoa in 1883.
The sociological perspective, of course, is quite another matter altogether…
If California - a state the bigger than many countries - fell into the sea (because of an earthquake, presumably), it would make Krakatoa look like...well, not much of anything.
Hopefully the impact to moonbattery would be similar.
Tann & Dac: Keep repeating, ”It’s only a game, It’s only a game.”
How about a Far Eastern spinoff? The resultant tidal wave inundates Japan, with a similar reaction from other people in the East. Chinese and Korean act especially inscrutable when questioned.
....so many politicians, so few statesmen.
Oink, of course I know it’s only a game.
But I can dream, can’t I????
There was an old movie ad, for some schlock horror film, that advertised, “Keep saying to yourself, It’s only a movie .. etc.” It became a pop culture saying, oft used ironically when something annoying happened.
