Govt Caused Panic In Britain

The Unions on both sides of the “pond” are in bed with the Democrats/Labour.
This smacks of the Iron fist of government being flexed.
Drew there are a number of factors that brought this about. As New Jersey Yankee rightly says unions bankroll the Labour party and they are desperate to give the government a bloody nose. They still haven’t forgotten their humiliation by Margaret Thatcher when their bully boys the miners failed to bring the government down. Allied to this is a dumbed down society courtesy of year on year of poor schools. Then on top of this is the rise of supermarkets selling gas and the closure of thousands of independant gas stations. The supermarkets run on a just in time philosphy. So they only keep stocks on hand sufficient to meet demand. Personally I think the minister who advised people to stock up has done nothing wrong. It has highligthed just how flimsy the supply chain is. As for the moron who set herself alight while decanting gas in a kitchen with a lit gas stove.....well Darwin had something to say about that sort of half-wit.
What I am expecting in the not too distant future is a similar run on the supermarkets and basic food supplies running out. I have had the foresight to begin building up stocks of non perishable food stuffs because I am convinced that we are heading for a lot of trouble.
