This is simple really, send a few hundred camcorders to the troops in Iraq and have them interview the ordinary townsfolk. Then send all the tapes to Current. When they don’t publish them, get the bloggers on their case, get the mainstream media interested and then the footage will be shown. Seeing as the MSM’s reporters are too scared to actually go out and report on the real progress of our troops I feel the troops could publish it themselves with the blogger world’s help.

Dunno about 2000, OCM, but in 2004 “the best THEY had to offer” got shuffled off of the stage early on in the selection process. I was looking forward to voting for Joe Lieberman in the primaries when that circus came to Ohio and I would have given him serious consideration in the November election. I understand that he was the one that Karl Rove was most afraid of and rightfully so.
THEY wanted to run extremists and make the rest of us like it. Somebody realized that that wasn’t going to work so they settled for K&E because they hung around long enough and were more attractive than the nut bags that were still in the race.
That’s the way I see it anyway. I’m mostly to the right of that crack down the middle that you’re so fond of, OCM. On some things, though, I’m on the left of the crack. I consider myself (small ‘i’) independent and I like to have at least two reasonable choices on election day.
I truly wish that the moveon.org, Kos and DU crowd would hurry up and crash their party to the ground so that the sensible folks can regain control and give me better alternatives than Dennis Kucinich, Al Sharpton, Howard Dean, etc, etc.
