  1. Hi there Mr. Christian,

You’ve been doing a great job on the blog.

I’ve tried a gazillion RSS readers so I feel qualified to comment on this.  I use a Windows based RSS reader called Great News.  It sits on your hard drive, and it’s free.  It allows you to categorize your news feeds, and it also allows you to save and categorize (or label) articles that you have already read, if you want to get back to them later.  Also, there is also an OPML import/export function, so you don’t have to reenter all your feeds to try the program.  Furthermore, you can also sync your feeds with Bloglines.com, which is another online RSS reader.  The website address is (I think) http://www.curiostudio.com.

I would not recommend Feedreader as it gives you spyware.

Feed Demon is another popular program robust program, but it is shareware, not freeware.

  2. Yes, good job Mr. Christian.

I’m sold on Google Reader. I’ve not seen a better reader, and I like to play with stuff.

Google Reader is always there, not taking up space on your box, but on whatever online PC you happen to come across. I did use the Firefox RSS extension, but pulled the plug on that when I tried the Google toy.

    Can’t be beat…

Have you tried the Firefox extension, Cooliris? That toy will allow you to view imbedded links without leaving a page. Ranks just a wee smidgeon lower than Adblock and above Scribe Fire, in my opinion, as favorite add-ons for Firefox.
