When I was in the Army betwen July 1969 and February 1972, I remember quite a few non-US citizens/immigrants who joined up and were excellent soldiers (and future Citizens). One Russian, a couple of Italians, several Mexicans, and Filipinos, a few Cubans and even some Canadians, all who volunteered during the latter part of the Viet Nam era, and were proud to serve and become Loyal Citizens. These folks were all “Finest Kind”
I especially liked that the Canadians were joining up, at the same time that so many so-called “Americans” chose to run and hide in cowardly shame as “guests” of Canada.
Perhaps Saddam should be shown a videotape of these proceedings, just before his death sentence will be carried out. At last one of his palaces is being put to a very good use.
