  1. Speaking as someone who’s WAAAAY too familiar with eating disorders(bulimic/ exercise addict from ‘86-03 and still having probs with the exercise a bit) I think that resturant is a horrible idea! Part of the disorder is isolating yourself or wanting to only be with those like yourself who “get it”. You don’t think of yourself as a person-you think of yourself as an “ED” person and you -um-feed- off of the uniqueness it gives you.

What her and other’s like her need to be doing is learning how to function in society.
I wouldn’t eat out during my last major relapse in 03 becuase I was afraid peole would say I’m fat(I wasn’t).

It was scary to force myself to go out to eat with Mike at first.  I had a choice-was I going to allow-YES ALLOW my ed to control not only my life but those of my friends/family or was I going to break it once and for all.

Well-though I still struggle at times(the Christmas season was rough for me) I have friends who don’t know that I’m a recovering bulimic and the friends that do aren’t my friends because of “ed’s”. It’s a long road but it’s also been very liberating.

What that “diner” is doing is allowing disordered eaters to stay in their safe zones and not move beyond “ Hi. I’m Barb the Bulimic”.
If you hide in the “ed” world you won’t move forward.
    It’s that simple .

  3. Sure you Annoying Little Twerp

I as well figured it out that A & W Rootbeer tastes better coming up than going down.  As long as you don’t wait too long and let all those acids do their penetration into the flavor

However if you have 100,000 anorexics now you will have 20,000 dead girls probably.  It’s a very bad problem if your daughter is diagnosed with it.  I mean ask Karen Carpenter.  It’s a mental problem.  It will make someone uninsuranble.

But men like their wifes exercising at first.  But then they get used to it, like they always do.  It’s important for women to exercise because many times their husbands will exercise as not to be left behind.  Men need to exercise because of physical health and women need to exercise because of mental health.

Don’t get me wrong.  When I ran 6 Richard Simmon’s Anatomy Asylums in metro Denver with 30,000 female clients I would see some Fat Women who needed to exercise for physical health.  When they told me, “I can’t feel my legs anymore.” I would say, “You better consider some habit modification quickly or it won’t be long and you will be dead.”

I used to go for a week at a TIME when I was young not eating or drinking to make weight as a wrestler.  That was really dangerous now that I look back on it.

Sometimes women exercise and do nothin’ but mess up their figures, figures.  They will do what their boyfriends do with weights and end up with fat necks.  But most TIMES I told them, “Shoot even if you did develope a muscle or two you can’t see it because of your fat coat is so thick.”

Men put their fat around their bellys and around their organs (Heart).  Some men, like Michael Moore, put it around his neck.  He looks like a walking heart attack to me.

But women are different and will put fat anywhere from the top of their heads to the bottom of their feet. That’s why they have to have a clue if they are exercisin’ for figure improvement, which is why they exercise.  Men will exercise for health reasons because they already look pretty good. Just ask a man and he will tell you. monkey
