In the first, the cops got to beat up a Canadian who was showing his ass. Not drowning is not a “show your ass free” card. So, it’s good news.
The second, the guy went to a restaurant (yeah, Dunkin’ Donuts; but still...) and flashed a worker there. It could have been my daughter. And, if she didn’t have a knife to cut her off a souvenir, I’m glad she had a phone to call someone. So, good news.
Sorry, but my point of view it comes from being an old fart with a young (early 20s) daughter.
Basil, I see nothing in the article from the Vancouver Sun about Luke Norman’s arrest that states or even implies that he showed his ass publicly. Where are you getting this from?
The complaint was that snowballs were being thrown between two apartment balconies, which is why the police were originally called.
If the events leading up to the charge of “Open Alcohol” occurred as described in the story, then the officers were laying a trap for someone to fall into.
Another thing I noticed was that the attending officers were not named in the story…
