  1. Growing up in Columbus, just an hour from Springfield, I can say that the Springfieldians would call that one.... a regular hillbilly Friday night.

  2. I’m sure there’s more to this story.

In Ohio, ANY ‘domestic violence’ call results in an automatic arrest/protection order, even if there is no evidence of any violence.

Needless to say, I’m a little unimpressed by domestic violence charges in Ohio.

  3. You’re right, there’s just too much missing data from that article. On the other hand, the information that is given would provide perfect fodder for the anti gun crowd.  You don’t think the reporter would intentionally....?

Gawd, I hate political agendas masquerading as unbiased news reporting.

  4. Dr. Jeff, I hadn’t even thought about the possible ‘political agendas’.

The Ohio automatic arrest usually results in the male being arrested. Even if HE places the call! I know this because several years ago a friend called police because his wife came at him with a knife. Cut him too! The police arrested him. They at least had the decency to arrest her also, but you get my point.

So I got to thinking (always a dangerous thing), homosexual relationships/so-called ‘marriage; domestic violence call; WHO do you automatically arrest?

They will have to rewrite domestic violence law in Ohio.

  5. There is much to this story that isn’t coming out - this inquiring mind wants to know - since she’s been in critical condition since being shot - how come she is being released from the hospital -’was released from the hospital Thursday, Dec. 4, where she had been in critical condition since she was shot in the chest Nov. 31.’-?

On the bed, on the nightstand, beside the bed - and somehow the gun goes off.

The key word to set people off should be estranged - that means that at least one of those two shouldn’t be in the mood for spontaneous sex.

I hope that someone in the responding police office did a good job of CSIing - so that they can hope to get to the truth.

Once again, stupid gun owners being held up to help push forth even more restrictive anti-gun laws - the stories are starting - get use to it - so that in the coming months when The One (tm) enacts stringent anti-gun laws - they can hide behind all their stupid ‘examples’ of gun-owners gone wrong stories.
