What has happened to America - and colleges in particular? I went to an all women’s college - not a cloister - actually more on the par of a midwest Wellesley. I got canned for missing curfew (2 times) and walking across campus smoking a cigarette. Kick ‘em out - all these special interest groups are wanting it to be their way or the highway - choose the highway. Most college students today are not going to accept no pork, no alcohol, no dancing (oh golly, gee whizz Gomer) these days. They need to rise up and tell the Administration - not No, but Hell No.
P.S. When’s the last time you heard of Jew insisting on Kosher food in a place that didn’t serve Kosher food? When’s the last time you heard a Mormon insist that a secular restaurant now serve alcohol or coffee?

The result of numerous faculty, staff and student requests, the new menu was introduced to the campus on May 29, making all chicken and beef options certified halal. Despite this, many MSA members say that any establishment that also serves alcohol and plays dance music is an unsuitable environment for their dietary needs.

You can insist on your ‘special dietary needs’ all you want. I’m lactose intolerant, I have a REAL, MEDICAL food allergy. But If I walked in and insisted that none of the food could contain milk products and that there couldn’t be any milk products in the facility at all, I’d be laughed out of there.

Jeez, I guess I really am a moderate after all. I’m willing to give them a chance to STFU before we kill them. I’m willing to live in peace, but that has nothing to do with my submitting to them. While I may be one of “the people of the book”, there is nothing I’ve learned about dhimmi status to make it appealing. It’s better than outright slavery, but that’s about it.
ASBO seems like it really should apply more to the Islamists than those they attack. Hmmmm do you think it’s possible to get Islam defined as an ASBO violation? It’s really not much of a reach.
One of the many things that puzzle me about our Moonbat-Muslim-Brothers(MMBs for short) is their ability to convince western sociaties to follow a policy of apeasement when dealing with them. Apparently the MMBs have never heard of “When in Rom, do as the Romans do”.
We have a very similar problem here in Germany, the school cafeteria where my girls go, got slammed with a “pork-meat-verboten”. And that was just to pander to 3% of the students. My girl still gets a ham-sandwich in her lunchbox. Oh, yes, we succeeded on rejecting the new moonbat-regulation and the kids are allowed to eat a varied meal.
And who in the world came up with the idea that MMBs have “dietary needs” at all? Religious preferences does not constitute a medical condition. Diabetes, allergies to certain foodstuffs, Gout, all those conditions justify bona-fide dietary needs. I do not see any reason for pandering to the MMBs alternate lifestyles.
