Our neighbors, nice people, have no idea how they pay for things, I don’t see him going off for a job (thought he was in college - who knows) are having their windows replaced - the roof was done the year the bad storm went through. And there has been much banging and noise and people (they have a two story) - I hope that they finished yesterday - as it began the monsoon season (again) last night and has been raining steadily since.
At least I got the cherries off the tree - whatever is left the birds and squirrels can have. Maybe we will get some other fruit this year - the broccoli are still alive - although I don’t know for how long. Melons and other vines are out right now, as they’d go to blight (happened the last two years). We shall see. At least all the perennials are going to do well. So the flower beds will look ok.
Take heart in the fact that if the crew is anything like the ones I’ve seen, they’ll be done in super-quick time. If they’re just re-roofing, that is. Roofing goes really fast.
